✨ Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will support our Accounting & Taxation division in delivering accurate financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, and business compliance services. You’ll work directly with entrepreneurs, real estate investors, and small business owners—providing guidance that helps clients grow, scale, and build long-term wealth.

🧾 Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledgers, balance sheets, and P&L statements
• Manage bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and financial cleanups
• Assist with business and personal tax preparation (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries
• Assist with quarterly tax filings, sales tax, and compliance reports
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financials for internal review and client delivery
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding financial results
• Support senior accountants and tax managers with special projects
• Maintain accurate and organized working papers, digital files, and audit trails
• Assist clients transition from employee to employer and onward to investor through proper entity setup, bookkeeping systems, and compliance
• Help implement best practices for improving client financial processes

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
• Experience with business tax preparation preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and bookkeeping fundamentals
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and client service abilities
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Bonus Skills (not required but preferred):

• Experience with tax software (Intuit ProConnect, Drake, Lacerte, etc.)
• Previous accounting firm experience
• Exposure to real estate accounting or small-business financials
